Katherine's Story

I am a Hampshire artist who specialises in intricate watercolour fine art, which is inspired by my love of animals and nature.

This love of the outdoors was undoubtedly bought about by my family, who would always take me on adventures in the country and along the coasts of the UK. On these travels we would always come across beautiful, wild scenery, and naturally I grew to love and admire the wildlife we'd spot within it.

Sadly, it's no secret that our wildlife is currently under threat from our own human activity and that there is an urgent need for us to adapt in order to protect our environment. Because of this, I think it's important to highlight how beautiful the animals that we share our world with are, to emphasise how devastating it would be for them all to disappear. .

So, over the last few years I've been capturing animals and insects in watercolour and turning them into limited edition prints, recycled stationary and and environmentally friendly homewares so people can bring their appreciation of the outdoors into their home.

My love of nature has not only inspired me to create art, but also to support animal shelters and rescue charities in need. To date, I have supported charities such as Street Vets and the Red Foundation, in order to help them care for abandoned animals under their protection. I'm always willing to help animals in need so if you are a charity needing prizes for events and raffles, or know of a charity needing support, please feel free to get in touch using my contact form below.

Out & About

This year I was lucky enough to take part in my very first fair! It was lovely getting to talk to other business owners and visitors who were interested in my art. I'd like to take this opportunity to thank anyone who has purchased some of my artwork or has simply come up to me to discuss my business. Your time is very much appreciated and every bit of feedback helps.

I'm hoping to take part in more shows next year so please keep an eye out on my social pages or sign up to my newsletter to find out where you may be able to say hello!

Wildlife Inspired Gifts

Over the past year I've been turning my watercolour artworks into giftware so people can have a bit on nature inside their homes.

I'm pleased to say that all products are sustainably sourced by myself and are made within the UK. I take my impact on the environment seriously and take this into account when sourcing my products and packaging, using organic, biodegradable materials and as much as possible.

Pet Portraits

I started my art journey painting pet portraits after painting a memorial for a friend who lost her family cat. I decided I wanted to continue giving owners special portraits to commemorate their pets and have been painting dogs, cats, and other types of pets, ever since.

over the years I have developed my own style in watercolour, favouring a more detailed approach to the medium which is notoriously tricky to work with.

If you are interested in a pet portrait, and would like to see my portfolio of portraits, please feel free to take a look. If you wish to book, you can contact me using the contact form below.
